Course Aims:
To provide managers, supervisors and operatives within the construction industry with legislative requirements and practical guidance, based on legislation, about how to effectively control scaffolding on their sites.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course delegates will be able to understand all relevant regulations relating to scaffolding, and applying the law to:
- The kind of faults, which are common in scaffolding on construction sites
- The factors, which are essential to the provision of safe scaffolding, based on legislation
- An agreed method of work for overcoming common problems, which arise in the erection and use of scaffolding, based on legislation
- How to deal with issues, which arise in the planning, construction, use and dismantling of scaffolding, based on legislation
- How team work will help to eliminate problems arising from the construction and use of scaffolding
- The requirements for scaffolding inspections, the keeping of records and the responsibilities of individuals involved
