Course Aims:
Designed for everyone, to provide an appreciation and understanding of the most relevant health and safety legislation, an individual's duties and how this is put in to practice.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course delegates should:
- Have a basic understanding of health and safety legislation
- Have an appreciation of the most common regulations
- Attain a basic knowledge of the legal system and penalties
- Understand the principles of accidents and accident prevention
- Understand the principles of hazard identification in the workplace
- Have an understanding of fire safety and the chemistry of fire
- Attain a basic understanding of:
- Management of health and safety
- COSHH
- Work equipment
- PPE
- Workplace health and safety
