Refurbishment of Building 11 Lingfield Point, Darlington

Project Overview: The works comprised the over roofing of the existing north light roof and repairs to the north light glazing.
Removal and disposal of some asbestos roof lining tiles.
The construction of a new compartment wall to create a means of escape and the forming of an opening to connect to the adjacent unit 12, together with the installation of a sectional up and over door in an existing loading bay opening.
Service installations comprised gas fired heaters with destratification fans and high bay lighting, together with small power, fire alarm, and modification of the existing sprinkler main.
New Build Office, Alnwick
Client: DEFRA
Project Overview: The project entailed the construction of a new two storey building, comprising a general office area and a records store.
The façade was finished in a number of materials, which included, brick, timber, glazing, powder coated aluminium/wood composite windows, with the roof being a standing seam type.
Internally the office area was completely fitted out, as well as a racking system for the store area.
Once completed and occupied, Lion House was demolished.
