The following additional services will also be provided.

  • Advise the client whether or not the principal contractor's construction phase Health and Safety Plan is sufficient for construction work to start
  • Prepare the Health and Safety file

To facilitate this Design Team Meetings are attended as appropriate and drawings and specifications monitored for health and safety issues. If appropriate, separate CDM Review meetings with the Design Team will be convened to discuss health and safety matters associated with the design of each discipline and to ensure that each designer is aware of the interface issues, one with the other.

A CDM Information Request Schedule may be created as a tool to monitor requests for information:

  • from whom
  • when requested
  • when received
  • when closed out

This would be a live document issued to the team and the client and reviewed at each meeting. Hazard Identification/Risk Assessments are obtained from the designers and incorporated into the Health and Safety Plan as the design progresses.

In addition, CPS UK not only ensures that the Health and Safety file is prepared, we undertake to collate and compile the document to ensure it is properly constructed, fully indexed and cross referenced to O & M Manuals, record drawings and other relevant information to make the file user friendly and easy to locate information.
